What things should I look for when deciding if my tree needs to be trimmed/pruned?

- Inward-facing branches: Inward facing branches should be removed or shortened so that they can grow away from the trunk of the tree.
- Branches too close to utility or roof lines: We recommend keeping branches a safe distance away from utility lines and roof lines.
- Balance of weight: It’s important to keep in mind the overall balance of weight when it comes to the canopy of a tree. For example, if the majority of the limbs are on the right-hand side, it could cause the tree’s root system to lean in that direction and slowly decline the overall health. It’s recommended to trim and prune a tree to create a balance of weight.
